Lynn has been playing guitar since she was eleven and the violin since she was seven years old. Her first guitar lessons were with an inspiring teacher from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Later, after  studying with Jon Edwards in Oxford and a successful audition with Andrew Lloyd Webber's dad, she trained as a  'first study classical guitarist' with George Zarb and Oliver Hunt at the London College of Music, first as a 'performer' [ALCM & LLCM(TD)] and then on the graduate  [GLCM] route. Lynn studied harmony and counterpoint  with Alan Bullard  & Dr WS Lloyd Webber, piano with Robin Stone and violin with Rose Roth & Dora Zafransky.

Lynn began her career teaching classical guitar and music theory to 'Junior  Exhibitioners' at the College on Saturday mornings while she was still a student.

After spending twelve successful years as a 'peri' in the UK and abroad teaching the guitar to pupils aged 7 to 70 in schools, colleges, further and adult education, teachers' centres and privately, Lynn followed a teaching career [PGCE & MEd] in the primary sector which led to roles as headteacher of an outstanding school and advisory/inspection activities assisting other headteachers and governors to improve their provision.  She has led curriculum music in schools, as well as many extra-curricular music performance activities including instrumental and choral groups, guitar and string ensembles, and she ran a very successful large children's orchestra for twelve years.

Over the years, Lynn's pupils have come from a wide background, including those with special needs who enjoy making music, to highly gifted pupils who have gone on to study the classical guitar or music in university or conservatoire settings. As well as arranging and writing music for solo guitar, varied ensemble and adult groups, she enjoys arranging and writing music for children, and has penned three successful full length children's musicals.

Lynn plays a superb guitar [640 scale] made for her by the well-respected English maker, Michael Gee. She also enjoys playing classical guitar in various ensembles with other skilled musicians and, before their move to the 'top of mid-Wales', was a violinist for 22 years with the Boston Sinfonia and Lincolnshire Philharmonia orchestras. She currently plays violin with Shrewsbury Symphony [SSO] and Shropshire Chamber Orchestra [SC0], among others.
